PRP for Hair Loss

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) hair restoration is an effective treatment for hair loss or alopecia, yielding noticeable results because of its capability to stimulate cells responsible for hair growth. PRP & PRF can also reverse the process by which hair follicles are damaged. As a result, stronger, thicker and dense hair is achieved.

PRP for hair loss and PRF hair restoration is a minimally invasive treatment. Best results have been achieved with a minimum of 6 sessions, spaced 4 weeks apart. Patients with success in these treatments generally undergo maintenance sessions once a year to keep their existing hair growth and avoid hair loss.

Benefits of PRP for Hair Loss

Benefits of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) Hair Restoration

Platelet Rich Plasma treatment (PRP) & Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) are novel techniques that allow the isolation and use of growth factors present in your own blood to enhance, accelerate, and stimulate hair regeneration. Injection of plasma rich in growth factors will stimulate the stem cells around hair follicles to grow new hair. Their application at a capillary level stimulates vascularization at the hair follicle level, making it an effective treatment to stop hair loss and promote hair growth in patients with moderate hair loss or alopecia.

The results can be seen after 3 sessions.

Minimially Invasive treatment with no downtime.

The result are maintained for 6 to 12 months.

PRP treatment has virtually no side affects.

Overview of the Procedure

What To Expect During a PRP Hair Restoration Procedure

Each PRP for hair loss & PRF session lasts approximately 45 minutes to an hour. After extracting a small volume of blood from your arm, it is centrifuged, and the platelet-rich portion of the blood is extracted: a “powerhouse” of growth factors. PRP & PRF must be done with a closed system and technique. The mechanically closed system prevents environmental contaminants from transferring to the product and/or device, as well as the accidental release of PRP & PRF outside of it. This avoids the risk of any type of PRP & PRF contamination, ensures product quality, and allows it to be stored if necessary. The closed technique uses a closed system in all the PRP steps, from the extraction of blood to having the product ready to administer. PRP & PRF contains a high concentration of your own growth factors and is micro-injected into the scalp where the hair-loss is occurring.
